The fund-raiser photo exhibition held by the children of Maili Land and Minako Ishii on May
2nd was very successful. State Representative Karen Awana honored our children artists,
as they all received a certificate of merit from her, congratulations! Thank you to everyone

Chaminade University students are helping our Kids' Pics artists create the Lei Fund's 2009
art work in a unique service learning class. COM 380 Photography and Education taught by
Minako Kent and Rusty Kent gives college students an opportunity to teach photography to
Kids' Pics artists in a one on one basis. Congratulations to all the students that helped out.
