Fifty percent of the advance royalty
payment for "May Day/Lei Day"
(publisher: Bess Press) book was
forwarded by author Jeffrey Kent and
photographer Minako Ishii to the fund.
They will donate a half of their royalties
from all sales of this book to the Lei
Fund!
We have provided this page to keep people up to date with our fund raising efforts. All
donations, both large and small are greatly appreciated. A special thanks to everyone that
is helping out!!
Kids' Pics is exhibiting their photos during the City's First Friday Gallery Walk on the
2nd of May, 2008 at the Mendonca Building Courtyard (1126 Smith St., Honolulu)!

The fund-raiser photo exhibition held by the children of Maili Land and Minako Ishii on May
2nd was very successful. State Representative Karen Awana honored our children artists,
as they all received a certificate of merit from her, congratulations! Thank you to everyone
who supported the event!
